Keansburg police chief got 11 weeks paid vacation in one year
KEANSBURG An audit by the Office of the State Comptroller found that this borough awarded nearly a half-million dollars in longevity payments to police officers and other municipal employees over a two-year period, and sold back weeks worth of unused vacation and sick days to the then-police chief and borough clerk in apparent violation of their contracts.
Although not identified by name in the OSC report, former Police Chief James Pigott held that rank during the years audited, 2017 and 2018. In the latter year, the OSC found that the chief received 55 vacation days, or 11 full paid weeks off.
Dutch caretaker government scraps partial lockdown as infections mount
Following its European counterparts, the Dutch government has implemented the first stage of its easing of social-distancing restrictions, starting on April 28. The government took this reckless measure even though it is still a caretaker government, the Dutch bourgeois parties having failed to form a government since elections in March.

A round of new Chinese government food safety audits which have spooked New Zealand s economic lifeblood primary export sectors have been completed on apple exporters with formal findings expected within a few weeks. The video, or live, audits on processing operations approved to export food to China have already resulted in some seafood exports being halted by Chinese officials. The February suspensions of some Sanford and Sealord products are still in force and unresolved.
